EOC: "9 to 5" week 3


The 9 to 10 film is about a movie of how women feel about their boss, in this case are three secretaries that have a sexist boss. The movie focus on how these women fantasy of how would they kill their own boss since he has been a horrible and disrespectable person. But how did they come up with the idea and what sources did they use to gather all the information.

T hey focused on a theme and then did some research on it. Most of the people directing, or writing the film had never been in a office atmosphere and had no idea of how would the secretaries day be and even that they actually all of them had fantasy of how killing their boss.

The writer stayed the necessary time in the fox offices to research and make focus groups to the women that work there and gather the information.
In the film you can see many issues that the characters face in their work atmosphere in this case the secretaries. For example back than women were treated poorly in their jobs as if they were the boss slaves. They were never taken seriously.

In the other side the boss would not even respect them such as he would make them disrespectful offer and dirty talk to them as if they were a street girl. He would only see them as a sexual object.

The film was made to bring a message out and for people to relate to the film, in case everyone has had a boss that we just hate! It’s been more than 25 years and many people from a young to older generation relates with the movie and has fun and laugh about since the film at the end all ends up working well.

EOC: Research a survey week 2

the suervey talks about how this year the sales for coming back to school in most of all the areas such as teens, kids, middle schools have increased a 10% more than last year. Thanks to the online shopping and the mood of the shoppers this years sales have incresed more. Many stores are having big sales, you might think well for back to school season you see specials but not huge sales. Well they notice that people are actually shopping and with a sale the consumer tends to grabs double the merchandise and plus that they are receiving coupon for their purchase.

With this strategy the companies have seen that the consumer comes and shops but yet comes back and now with technology being so strong in todays era, the consumer doesn't want to waste their coupons so they shop online to make a good use out of them.

surveys have seen that people buying more online sales are growing and even more on the back to school merchandise. so it's a good season for the retail companies. Plus with such good deals retail are having a lot of international consumers were they received coupon and make more shopping in the own country.

They are easy to get their attentions they usually start looking for one item and end up looking everything even if what they were looking for its not even related to the first item, they spend around $9.6 billions yearly.

I am creative person with a passion for the fashion business. I love how nothing is the same and it's a fast paced environment. As a professional I can work in a under pressure environment where there is an endless list of skills required to survive this business. From doing Retail to designing a clothing line, doing a fashion event to being a creative director,Trend forecaster to style any person. I have the ability move myself into any area of the fashion business and gain experience from it, yet at the same time I have found my strength and weaknesses, in which obviously I have focus on my strength to become good at and learn in my weaknesses so a can become better but yet avoid them you can't be good at everything right! EOC Week 1

For Marketing Research I want to learn all the tools that this class can offer me, at the moment I am taking two other classes in which I am having a bit of problem of not confusing myself what is what. I want to be able to tell the difference between brand marketing and marketing research. In this case what does Marketing research covers such as it's a research of product service, what research tools do we use, what type of data or sources are valid, how to determine when is the research complete and how to read the results, etc. I expect from this class to offer me all the information I need such as lecture, examples, visuals and experience such as practice.
